Elijah TV: Brought to you by Flip Video & YouTube

Announcing...

ELIJAH TV!

I finally have all the bugs worked out so that I can upload videos of Elijah. So I have made him a YouTube channel!

Before I give you the link I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Pure Digital Technologies and Jamie at Commstrat PR for making this possible.
tvset
All the videos that will be featured on Elijah TV, here on FSUTSD and on Mom Love's Today will be shot exclusively using a Flip Video - Flip Ultra!

Flip Video is the size of my cell phone and light as can be! Don't believe me? Elijah holds it and takes video of himself! HAHA It has got to be the easiest video camera to use ever too! I'm sure it won't be long before he will be doing that too! With one touch recording, I am surprised he hasn't figured it out already!!! It even has a zoom!!!
tvsetWith 2GB of memory it holds 60 minutes worth of video and you can playback instantly with another press of a button, even hook it to your tv and play back! Plug in the cable and hit play. That's it!!! Great for sharing with family! I love that I can delete straight from the camera too if I want. Not like there are any bad videos of Elijah. But videos of me are another story! hehe!

Flip has a GREAT microphone and picks up the littlest sounds. Which is really good when Elijah 'whispers!'

Now when it comes to getting the videos FROM the camera TO the computer I was a big skeptical on how easy it is. First of all let me give you a little background. I would consider myself advanced when it comes to video production and editing. It's actually something I studied for years and is part of my digital design degree. I have used professional video equipment and can use programs like Final Cut Pro without even thinking about what I am doing. Second nature. But to give you an idea of HOW easy this was, it made my Sony Handycam seem professional.

tvsetYou know how with our old camcorders you had to make copies of the big old tapes to share by hooking two VCR's together and recording over. and over. and over? Or with the hand helds you would have to figure out how to record the 8mm tapes to the big tapes and later DVDs to share and then do it over. and over. and over? , or with the mini dv ones you have to STILL buy a separate DVD burner and make dvd copies... and all that. And if you decided to hook one of those cams to your computer.. ugh. the time it took to import, then edit, then upload, or burn. or whatever.

Well FORGET ALL of that. Now look at that nice little computer your on RIGHT NOW reading this from. Does it have a USB port? Okay. you're all good then.

The flip has the usb built in and it flips out at the push of a button. plug it in. whats that coming up on your screen??? It has built in software???? Oh yes. It does my friend. It does. It has a lot built in.
Click and install the software then get ready to save, organize, watch, and edit those videos right there on your computer. Now it DOES take time to save them, to edit them and to then upload them. BUT TRUST ME, having worked with professional video and omgosh the time to import the video (real time mostly) then to edit and compress the huge file took HOURS! This took me close to an hour to import, edit, and upload an 8 minute video. BUT like I said. Trust me. That is SHORT. and it wouldn't have taken that long except I was playing with all the features. Adding music and making stills were just a few of the options!

So say you want to share the videos? You can upload instantly to YouTube, MySpace, AOL Video and many other websites, all with the click of a button. I used YouTube and just inserted my account information when the window popped up and it did all the rest of the work for me! It also lets you email videos easily! Even allows you to make photo greeting cards! NEAT?!?! Huh? I thought so!

I definitely recommend Flip Video if you want to take videos anywhere and share with ease!

Visit http://www.theflip.com for more information!

Okay! Now back to Elijah TV. To start with there are only 4 videos, but I promise to add to them as much as I can. As long as I can get him to stop looking at the camera every time I get it out. LOL! Every time I go to tape what hes doing, he stops and wants to play with the camera instead! But I hope to share lots of new videos. I will try to post them all here first! Debut them in style! hehe But feel free to visit as much as you want.

AND HERE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! Is Elijah reading a catalog. lol!

****note: its a bit dark because there was only 1 tiny lamp on by us. The flip does better in high light but actually does surprisingly well in very low light.***

And here is Elijah reading 2. I was trying to catch him reading aloud. It was hilarious.

***note: i snorted laughing. lol***

Wondering what Elijah is laying in???
It is actually a 1965 carriage that was his Daddy's in 1969, after being used by his Aunt Cathi in 1966 and then later used by his Aunt Jen (who apparently wasn't fond of it) in 1977. Elijah LOVES it. But I will tell you more about that after this video of him playing in the first night my in-laws brought it up to him. Don't mind Dave & I talking. lol

So do you agree? Seems like he likes it right? Yes! Loves it. He enjoys laying in it and being pushed around inside and out and loves to sit in it all cozy and fall asleep for his naps. Even though I told you not to listen to what we were saying in the video did you catch the part when we were talking about him being on his knees soon. Well it already happened. He got up on his knees and was standing up! So unless we are watching him LIKE A HAWK he can't play in it as easily anymore. You turn your back for two seconds to send a tweet and look back and there he is up on his knees and pushing to stand. Silly little monkey thinks hes just going to walk right out. LOL And wouldn't surprise me in the least if he did. For 7 months he is a genius I'm telling you. But I'll tell you more about the carriage and how smart he is in another post. For now I want to share one more video with you.

Elijah was napping and rolled to his back. A sure sign he is going to wake up. I haven't uploaded the quick video I took of HOW he naps yet. But I will do that soon. You will laugh. But I wanted to record his waking up. Especially after I looked over at him and realized he was dreaming. These cute little smiles kept coming across his little face and I thought it was too much to resist. Make sure to pay attention to the little sounds 'words' he says when he wakes up. He whispers them at first, so you might have to rewind and turn up your speakers if you miss it.

Well that's all I have for now! But like I said stay tuned for lots more to come, on Elijah TV!
Thanks for reading!
...and watching!

Installing

Hi all! Just wanted to let you know I am attempting to install a template I made with this new design. so things might be a bit strange looking today! Thanks!

***UPDATE***

After working all night while Elijah slept, (The only time I have to get this done lol) it's 9:02am and I am going to try to catch a few zzzZZZzzz's before he wakes up!

I think I am done for now on the main design and install. There are problems here and there but mostly I think it looks pretty good. There are new PR, Contact, and About Me pages for you to check out. I am currently working on a new blogroll page too but you can see the work in progress if you click the link now. A big issue I noticed is the post labels. they are all screwed up. So sorry if you guys are having trouble finding things easily in my past posts. Hopefully that fancy new search box will help! From here on out all my reviews, discounts, and giveaways will be on my other site,DELETED so I have put you a easy link for that too up there in the navi bar!

So...

What do you think???

All you can do is laugh...

Did you ever hurt yourself in a way that is SO incredibly stupid you have to laugh about it.

Don't lie. I know you have.

It's a running joke between our best friend Beth and EVERYBODY she knows, that she gets hurt like that ALL THE TIME. So much really her nickname is Hazard. Don't even ask about the time she fell off the exercise ball wii'ing and ripped off half her ear on a tiny doll highchair all in one swipe.

Before I met Beth I was NEVER clumsy. Now I am like queen of the E.R. These crazy accidents seem to happen to me a lot in the last 5 years... At first I thought I get hurt because I don't pay attention. and because of my poor eye site. and because of my hearing loss. and because of my ... okay you get the point.

But now I am starting to think it's not me, its Beth! I blame Beth.

You hear me Beth? God Sister? Hazard?

I think she's rubbing off on me! You put her and I together- You better be wearing some sort of protective gear. I'm telling you. And now she's rubbing off so bad I'm injuring myself alone! I don't even need her assistance anymore! Nope! My hazard-ness is working just fine thank you.

Pshhh! Beth! Hitting me with your tree branches! :)

Well today was one of those times I hurt myself in one of those OH SO INCREDIBLY STUPID ways. Dave must have asked me 30 times HOW did I do it. I just had to blog about it. It was ridiculous.

I showered, brushed my hair, got dressed, put on my jewelry and walked over to my make up table.

I lean on it a lot to step into my shoes.

So here I was, I put my hand down on it, full weight to step into my cute little Steve Madden Picaso Green Multi heels. (only one of the cutest shoes ever! although I couldn't find a picture and am too lazy to take one.)

You know those big flat circle earrings? Picture a quarter. Now imagine if that quarter was an earring with the post coming straight up out of the center.

yes. I think you know where I am going with this.

Just so happens that earring was right UNDER where I decided to so nonchalantly slam down my hand, to balance my ENTIRE weight, while jumping into my uber cute shoe.

It happened so fast.
ME:
***WHAM***
uh. oh.
um...
ouch...
what the....
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
dave. Dave. DAVE. DDDAAAVVVEEE!
emergency!

*runs with right hand held in the air by left hand as if it's infected with something*

LOOOOOOOOOOK!

*thrusts right hand out in his direction as if I am holding something so terrible i will disintegrate if I look again*

Dave:
What the... ?!?!?! How in the hell did you do that?
Me:
JUST GET IT OUT GET IT OUT GET IT OUT!
Dave:
Really?!?!?! Are you serious? It's stuck all the way in there.
Me:
*breathing heavy -trying to keep from imploding while waiting for him to pull it out*
Dave:
Hold Still.

*Pulls it out*
Me:
*sigh of relief*

OMG. Thanks. I thought I was going to die.
Dave:
*shaking his head in disbelief*

You couldn't pull that out yourself.
Me:
*serious look on my face*

No the shock of it was to terrible to bare.

I have a hole in my hand. it's now black and blue. slightly swollen.
I pierced my hand. It wasn't even a cute looking earring.

Go ahead.
Laugh your butt off.

You know how some things are just so bad, but you have to laugh to get through them.
Maybe laughter really IS the best medicine.

A bloggers Will

For months now Dave & I have been making the arrangements with buying our home, putting everything in both our names, adding our new home and possessions to our wills before updating our registered versions, setting trusts and guardians for Elijah in the event of our passing... You know all that sad stuff you DON'T want to do, but you HAVE to do.

And if you are a parent and don't have a guardianship for your children set, RIGHT THIS SECOND STOP WHAT YOU ARE READING, yes this, and take 2 seconds and at least write one on a piece of paper. please.

anyway. The one thing that Dave & I discussed besides our IRL wills, is my blogger will. Think about it. If something happened to you, Does anyone know your login information? Your passwords? Your affiliations? Dave doesn't even know how to login to our paypal account. That's where all the proceeds from my blog are. Money that could be pretty important if I was gone.

So after much thought and consideration. I have chosen a very special friend to be my blog-oficiary. To tend to things on the web end of my life in case of death and have been writing her brief instructions as to my blog wishes and instructions. I haven't asked her yet. But this is such a difficult thing to do, I didn't want to just through it out there.

I had been composing a very lengthy post about this subject when another blogger must have had the same exact thought. A Cowboy's Wife wrote about this exact subject today and I thought instead of continuing on, I would just share her post with you.
http://acowboyswife.com/2009/05/14/a-bloggers-will-preparing-your-blog-for-your-death/

Please read her post and take our words into consideration. She even has a fill in the blank will she made to make it easier. I know a lot of us blogging moms have formed a very tight bond. We would definitely worry if one of us disappeared and would be hurt to never know why. Dave actually told me he had thought of this too and would worry he would have no way to know how to tell you all and that you would miss me. I bet many of your husbands feel the same way. So lets make it easier on them, no matter how depressing it may be, and make our blogger wills this week.

How do you feel about a blogger will? If something happened to you what would you want done? What else do you feel it is important to leave for our families?

Thanks for reading!

Story Time Felt

It's fun to look back to our childhoods. Look at the toys we played with, the games, the activities, the adventures. We didn't sit on our parents lap at the computer. We didn't watch TV more than MAYBE an hour a day. We read, we ran around outside. We MADE toys out of bits of things we found around the house and a imagination. We didn't need everything fancy, talking, lights flashing, music, LOUD, like today's children do.

I have been striving to find all the simple, enjoyable, educational, imaginative, fun toys I can for Elijah. He is a very smart baby, whose favorite activity is to sit with you and read. He will sit on your lap and stare at the pages for hours. Laughing at the pictures, rubbing his hand across the pages as if he can touch the objects. He loves the bright colors. He loves the expressive words. He loves the rhymes. He loves the poems. Elijah loves just listening to the words.

I was very fortunate to have met the most wonderful woman, who knows A LOT about story time and how to make it enjoyable for your children. Lois told me all about her company, Story Time Felts, and was sweet enough to even send us a Nursery Rhyme Felt Board Toggle Book. Elijah loves it!

"Story Time Felts offers the very finest in felt board stories and visual aids for learning and open-ended play. Strict attention is paid to the quality as well as the educational value of each product. We carry an extensive line of educational felt board story sets and non-denominational religious felts as well as dress-up dolls, including custom photo dress-up dolls, felt activity books, finger plays, puppets, and audio story and song Cd's and more for preschool through school aged children."

They are all made in the U.S.A., beautifully and brightly colored, and come with unlimited possibilities! The felt is even washable -- which is a big plus! Not even drool filled, sticky fingers, Elijah could harm the colorfast felt images! He loves the feel of the felts on his fingers. He loves to help mommy move them around the story boards. I have no doubt in my mind by 9 months he will be moving them around without my help. He already tries now. Lois also recommending putting Velcro on the back of the pieces for finger puppet play. Elijah laughs and laughs when he sees the little characters pop up and hears me do the different voices while moving my fingers around.

"Children are natural storytellers but often their stories remain locked in their heads because they lack the ability to express themselves. Story Time Felts help parents and teachers bring back creativity and imagination to the children in their lives through beautiful felt products such as felt board story figures, activity books, dress up dolls and other educational felt items!

Experts agree that kids these days are too "plugged in," so we offer something that is High Touch, not High Tech! Imagination is rediscovered and fostered with Story Time Felts!"

How true is that? How many times a day are you telling your children -"turn off that TV... get off that computer... put down that video game" - These felts not only help the children turn of the technology and use their imaginations, they help to remind YOU how important it is to turn off and to play with your children. I am loving laying on the bed with Elijah and coming up with story after story using the characters. Even with the nursery rhyme set... Did you ever hear of the time that Humpty Dumpty DIDN'T FALL. He in fact SAVED the kingdom by having such a spectacular view from up there! -- I am having so much fun coming up with these stories myself!

These would be a great present for any children in your life, teachers, your church's Sunday school class or playgroup. They would be a great present for birthdays! You don't have to stand in an Toy isle at Target and wonder which toy the other guests bought, which toys does the kid already have, which toys are appropriate, how much do you want to spend. Story Time Felt is inexpensive, one of a kind, and guaranteed to be a hit.

If you would like to place an order with Story Time Felt , please do so using her name, Lois Graham, when prompted for your Consultant's name.

For more information please visit Lois' Story Time Felt page. She would love to help you with orders, educational home and catalog parties - to earn free felt, joining her sales team, teacher workshops, vendor events and more. Her contact information is available there or you can follow Lois on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/LoisGraham

More posts to come on Elijah & playing with Story Time Felt as he grows and can plays along.

Wild Harvest Snacks Review

Heart The healthiest snack on the block - With Wild Harvest Organics

Growing up when I heard the word 'organics' I automatically thought of two things. Expensive and Gross. We had our own garden where we grew our own chemical free fruits and vegetables. All it took was earth, water, sun, seeds and love. I had tried the organics here and there but they just didn't taste as clean, fresh or tasty as ours. It was at that time I swore I would never try another organic product.

When I heard we were going to get the chance to sample Wild Harvest Organics I was a bit skeptical, but intrigued at the chance to try some organic products again.

The first batch of products we received was so exciting it was like Christmas. We opened the carefully packed box to be faced with some beautifully packaged food. The labels are appetizing, with the food photos in the forefront, crisp, clean and simple. Right away the products visually draw you, temping you to taste them.

The first thing we did was try their juice pouches while we were looking through the other products. They sent us Grape, Cherry, Strawberry Kiwi, Fruit Punch. The only problem was the straws are moderately difficult to insert into the pouches. Would be very difficult and possibly messy for children.

As soon as we got the straws in though we were pleasantly surprised on the taste. It had a cleaner taste, but was not the bland juice we were expecting. It tastes sweet and delicious. I definitely recommend this juice for your children and yourself.

The next products we tried were the Chocolate Chip Bite Size Cookies and the honey graham teddy bear cookies. The Chocolate Chips were not too hard or soft. Just right and better in our opinion than the popular brands. The Honey Grahams were my favorite. As a big fan of graham crackers and the Teddy Graham brand, I am officially converted. These are not only 100% natural, they taste that way! They taste clean and tasty! These would make a great snack for the kids!

Vanilla Crème Sandwich Cookies
REALLY surprised us! My husband, Dave, normally will not eat any of the Crème Sandwich Cookies, but he took one of these out of the package and didn't stop! The creme is so... well its CREAMY! It's smooth, its silky, it tastes so sweet and I know I keep using this word over and over, but it tasted CLEAN. I have never noticed how much you really taste the additives in food. These Wild Harvest products just taste the way the products should!

Later that night I was looking for a snack and saw the Golden Round Butter-Style Crackers. I was going to cut pieces of sharp cheddar to put on them, but before I could begin I tasted one of the crackers alone. WOW! It's so buttery and delicious. I noticed they seemed to taste even BETTER for some reason if I ate them top (buttered) size down. I don't know if its because of the taste buds on my tongue or because the flavoring is so more intense. Or maybe I am just weird. But I thought they were great that way.

The last thing we tried was the Butter Microwave Popcorn and the Original Microwave Popcorn. The butter was good! Didn't taste too buttery or salty, but the Original is officially our new favorite brand of popcorn. It tastes just like the air popped popcorn we used to eat as kids. It was so delicious and tastes SO MUCH better than any of the microwave popcorn we've ever ate.

Overall our experience with the first batch of Wild Harvest products was enjoyable, delicious, and nutritious. I highly recommend their brand and no longer have the impression of organics that I did. I'm glad it was Wild Harvest that turned my opinion around. I can see kids and parents loving these snacks together!

Thanks you Wild Harvest for giving me the opportunity to try your brand! Thank You as well to MomKnows!

Mamapedia - Sitewarming & Twitter Party Friday

It's 2:00 a.m. and your three month old is crying...a lot. You're a first time mother, and while you've got a ton of questions, you called your mom at 2:00 in the morning last night about that crazy looking diaper, so you'd really like to get through this one on your own.

But where can you turn?

Mamapedia is a new site that takes the wisdom of thousands and thousands of moms and makes is searchable! You can head to the computer with that screaming infant in your arms and type,

"Why does my baby cry so much at night?"

And this is what you'll find - an article about a mom who asked a question titled "Sleepless Nights with a 13 week old" and the responses of forty-four moms. You can read those forty-four answers while bouncing your baby, and with a little luck by the time you are through your infant will be fast asleep and you will feel better as well.

To launch this new mom resource, the Momfluence network and Resourceful Mommy are throwing a party. Join us on Twitter this Friday, May 8th, from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. eastern time along with mom experts in a variety of parenting areas: multiples, kid crafting, health and safety, potty training, home schooling and more!

During the party, details about a "What Can I Learn Today?" contest will be revealed...along with the incredible grand prize.
Join us by RSVP'ing here!

Are Oprah and Ashton Destroying Twitter?

If you twitter than you are bound to be following a celebrity or two. But is anything they are tweeting actually productive? Is it actually adding anything to your twitter network? Are you adding anything to your network?

You know when I first realized that celebrities used twitter too the first people I looked for were Kevin Smith (of Awesome) and William Shatner (hes William Shatner... I mean, really). At that point I don't think Shatner had a twitter yet, but he did soon after and those were pretty much the only celebrities I followed. Then I started to hear more and more celebrities joining the bandwagon. I remember the first time I heard Ashton Kutcher had a twitter... I laughed about it, tweeted about it, and moved on. No. I did not follow him. No, I do not follow him. I do not follow Oprah or Ellen or Obama. Why? Because Why should I? Why do I care? What can they possibly give to me intellectually in 140 characters? What could they possible offer at ALL in 140 characters?

I am on twitter to share ideas, to share my life with others like me, to help other people, to be a productive member of the network. Not to promote myself as if I was bigger than Jesus Christ himself. Sure I promote my blogs every once in a while. But who doesn't promote SOMETHING they are doing? But not all the time!

I love and appreciate my followers. I try to follow *most* who follow me. Now obviously if your tweets are not helpful, meaningful, or interesting to me, I am not going to. I'm actually really picky about my followers. I never signed up with one of those *get 1,000 followers in 10 minutes* I started on twitter at the urging of a good IRL friend of mine, @misterperturbed. I signed up and he was my first follower/followee. Looking through his tweets and followers I started to get the gist of what twitter was really all about. I started tweeting what I was doing. Thoughts of the moment. Anything that I could see being interesting to others. As time went by I started getting followed by more and more people. I was then told about this BRAND NEW group for moms who use twitter. TwitterMoms. With all of maybe 123 moms at that point, I signed up. (note: at the time of this article twittermoms.com now has 15,119 members. wow!) I started chatting with other moms and following each other. Suddenly my network was FULL of wonderful women on stand by to give me the advice I desperately needed to get through the end of my pregnancy. My list of followers continued to grow full of moms, dads, women, men, entrepreneurs, deep thinkers, all kinds of people (and pets for that matter. lol!) and I am now at 1,904 followers. According to Twitter Grader I currently score 99.8 out of 100, I am 11th in Baltimore and 29th in Maryland on the Twitter Elite lists. I must be saying something right. Either way this list is full of some incredible people that have surprised me time and time again. Whether it be a tip or a idea to make life easier, more enjoyable, or mom questions. Yesterday I had a bad day. And do you know within seconds of my cry for help I had over 30 women chatting back with support, advice, and their sympathy. I even had a few men sympathizing. It was amazing. It was indescribable. It was just what I needed to feel better. Yes. It may just be on the Internet and compliments of convenience. But it was more than I could have ever asked for in a group of IRL friends.

On my twitter journey I have made some amazing friends. And I also have enjoyed participating in some social networking milestones. I have been here for the birth of twitter parties. You will see me at least once a week tweeting in mass amounts with some random hash tag attached. (#) Yup. that's me at twitter party probably. Especially if its a Friday night! Most Fridays I'm always with @resourcefulmom site warming parties.

You will see little music notes, some random words and a link go by. I use twitter to 'DJ' what I am currently listening to with my followers using blip.fm.

If we are friends on Face book you will even see my tweets in there. They automatically update my status.

Twitter is a part of my life. everyday. Even if I'm not on the computer than at least once during the day I pick up my palm pilot to update my tweeps with what I am up to.

I could go on and on. But I wont. Instead I will leave you with a few articles about twitter I've found recently.

Stay tuned for more posts on twitter and adding to your network. Thanks for reading!
oh and are you following me on twitter? @erinjeany :)

#HoppusDay - Todays Twitter Trending Topic Explained

So were you confused by one of the trending topics on Twitter yesterday and today?

While relieved to see Swine Flu or #swineflu pushed from number one, I laughed to see #hoppusday in its spot. As soon as I saw it I knew it had to have something to do with Mark Hoppus.
(Photo owned by them: Tom,Mark & Travis- Blink182 )
If you don't know, Mark Hoppus is an awesome, down to earth, fan loving, social networking, musician. He's most known as being part of Blink 182 & +44.

Well as it turns out a lot more people think hes awesome than I realized. (Even though hubby INSISTS that only 10 people in the world besides me have ever heard of these no name celebrities. lol. hard headed.)

To honor Mark a Brazilian Blink 182 fan site, Action 182, came up with the event to show him some fan love!

Did we just get a message of warning from "BEYOND"?

Did something ever happen that was SO freaky or coincidental you wanted to fall over and die from a shock induced heart attack? Did something bad ever come SO close to happening you just want to kiss the Earth, thankful it is there to kiss?

Well that happened to us this morning. Only we didn't want to just kiss the earth. We kissed each other and the house.

For those of you who do not know, We are truly blessed enough to live in a very very big, beautiful home, the same big beautiful home I grew up in. After the passing of my grandfather it was hard for my grandmother to live here without him and even harder for her to take care of it herself. So she moved and sold the house to David & I since we were looking for somewhere bigger than the apartment to raise our child and because of how much I really do love this house, its memories, and the future our children can create.

When I was born my Grandfather, my Pop Ma as I called him, had a broken leg. Since he couldn't do much but sit around, he spent 99.9% of my first year holding me. As the years went by I stayed just as close with him. Obviously I didn't stay on his lap my ENTIRE life, but he was my everything.

I lived with my grand parents most of my life growing up and always knew the safest place was in his arms. He was always there to love me, protect me, teach me right from wrong and teach me everything else I needed to know. The morning of July 15th, 2006 he lost his fight against cancer and passed away.

A few months went by and I went through the grieving process. I missed him, I dreamed about him, I was angry at him for leaving me, I was relieved he wasn't in pain any longer. It still hurts but now it's just the good memories. Sure I wish that he had gotten to see my son and I wish we could have spent MANY more years together. But I also understand it was out of our hands. And I have really thought for a long time hes in heaven watching over us. We even make jokes about him being in the house. We still smell his smell or hear unexplained noises. I BELIEVE WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT HE IS NOW.

Back in 2005 my grand parents decided to build on an addition to the house. They hired the contractor and the work began. It included a two story addition with a roughly 18' x 25' sun room on the top floor, another 18' x25' room on the bottom, and a beautiful deck just a bit smaller than the rooms. Sadly my grandfather never saw the finished job.

When it comes to ghosts, David is a skeptic at best. He doesn't believe in things that could have a scientific explanation. Basically he is my Scully. So when Dave woke me up this morning with "You wont believe this dream." I listened intently as he filled me in with all the details about Pop coming to him and talking to him about heaters and a fire. Dave remembered he said something too about the sun room.

This is our upstairs sun room
(pardon the photos they are from a snow day in Jan and I was being silly)

The rooms up and down both have their own separate heating/air conditioning units.
This is the upstairs one.

It's a wonderfully powerful thing with its own thermostat. It will kick on and run even if the main heat or air is off and is strong enough to regulate the whole upstairs. It's never had any problems. We've never worried about it. I mean would you worry about a 3 year old unit in a 3 year old addition?

Apparently Pop was trying to tell us something. What was it exactly wasn't clear. But after discussion we figured out he had to be talking about the sun room heater.

But what made Dave choose to believe something from a dead person from his dream?

Dave got up. He went out into the sun room. He looked at the unit. Turned it on. Turned it off. Was thinking he was right. It was just another silly pointless, meaningless dream. He didn't see anything until...

Wow. That could have been REALLY bad.

It could have caught fire so quick. Who knows what could have happened.

I was talking to Dee about it and she said "Don't think about the bad that could have happened just be grateful everyone is ok."

Boy is that true.

So what do you think?
Was this my Pop trying to warn us?
Or was it just coincidence?
What else could tell Dave to check that? His paternal sense/ need to protect his family maybe?

sheesh. Thank for reading guys!
Thank you Pop/God /whoever else might be influencing these events.
