Review: Brieftons Vertico Spiralizer #Brieftons

We love Vegetables and are always looking for new and different ways to fix them, the Brieftons Vertico Spiralizer is our latest exciting answer! It easily turns almost any firm vegetable or fruit into fun spirals, professional looking garnishes, vegetable pastas of 4 different widths, and more.

When I first opened the box I was pleasantly surprised to see it was packaged for super easy assembly and the directions right on top. It took me less than 30 seconds to place the 5 pieces together and be ready to use it. All parts are top rack dishwasher safe so after running it through it was ready to be used. The entire thing is made from only highest quality materials; stainless steel blades and BPA-free, ABS plastic make it completely food safe.
Changing cutting modes is as easy as turning a knob. There are 4 levels of thickness, some are recommended better for some vegetables but most of it is just going to to be deciding what kid of spirals you want for each dish. The first is 55mm endless spirals. So a good thickness for onion rings, potato nests, or Ribbon Cut Vegetable Pasta. The second setting is a 12mm coarse julienne; great for papardelle vegetable noodles and more. Third blade option is 6mm wide making it a perfect width for vegetable Fettuccine. And last with cut setting 4 is only 3mm, making it exactly the size for vegetable spaghetti.
Once you decide what cut you want to use you then just prep your vegetable. Your pieces should be flat on both ends and no taller than 5.5" so you may need to chop off the ends or segment it to be able to have minimal waste and use the spiralizer right. Now you're ready to cut and it's super easy! Place the vegetable in the middle of the slicing base. Attach the vegetable holder by applying pressure to the turning handle until it's attached firmly onto the upper end of the vegetable. Apply pressure on the 3 corners of the slicing base to push down the suction feet until they are firmly stuck onto the counter or table. Turn the turning handle clockwise with a light constant pressure until you're done slicing. Lift the turning handle to remove the remaining vegetable. Tada! All done.
It comes with a very handy cleaning brush to clean the blades and then it can go right back in the dishwasher. Check out my video to learn more!
