Review: Monopoly Pokémon: Johto Edition

We are huge fans of Monopoly and USAopoly. We have so many different editions and play them all. We are also huge fans of Pokemon and have a lot of Pokemon stuff, toys and games. I was in middle school when Pokemon debuted and the excitement and race to find the cards you wanted was so intense we fell deep in love with these little monsters. Elijah is almost 8 and Ariel is almost 2 and they both really love Pokemon so I love sharing anything Pokemon with them!

The Monopoly: Pokemon Kanto Edition came out a few years ago and we had to have it right away, after enjoying playing it, I knew we would enjoy playing the Monopoly Pokémon: Johto Edition too for years to come. It comes with an awesome pokemon themed board and pieces. Instead of buying property for hotels you train Pokemon, build Poke Marts and Pokemon Centers. Railroads were replaced with Great, Ultra, and Master Pokeballs. Also includes rules for a short 90ish minute game, which is perfect for playing with Elijah and doesn't have the attention span yet for a full game. Professor Elm and Trainer Battle Cards replace Chance and Community Chest cards giving it an even more fun Pokemon twist. The best part though is the cute little pieces. Each one is made of metal and looks just like some of the super cute favorite Pokemon; Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Pikachu, Pichu, and Togepi. The quality of the box, board and pieces are all really great and I think this should stay durable and last a long time. We are super happy with the Monopoly Pokemon Johto edition and highly recommend it to anyone who loves Monopoly and Pokemon.

Bottom Line:
I really love it and give it 5 out of 5 stars.
Would I recommend it to my family and friends? YES!
Would I buy it myself based on my experiences with this review? YES!
